Former President Donald Trump has another announcement for his supporters, this time calling out New York for the state’s latest ridiculous move.
New York’s Political Attacks on Giuliani
New York has decided to revoke Rudy Giuliani’s license to practice law, and is receiving intense backlash for it.
In a unanimous 5-0 decision, the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division ruled that Giuliani “made knowingly false and misleading factual statements to support his claim that the presidential election was stolen from” Trump and that those statements “threaten the public interest and warrant interim suspension from the practice of law.”
This is a blatantly political act. Attorneys Colinford Mattis and Urooj Rahman were arrested for tossing Molotov cocktails at a police vehicle during the violent Black Lives Matter riots in 2020, yet they still have their law licenses because they are Democrats. Giuliani, on the other hand, is a Republican, and therefore he is held to a higher standard, despite all that he has done for New York.
In an interview with Greg Kelly of Newsmax, Giuliani responded to the news, stating: “This is a Democrat decision by five judges who themselves should be investigated. You tell me if this would have happened if I was representing Hillary Clinton? You know it wouldn’t have happened… I love practicing law and they’re going after the thing I love to do more in life, being a lawyer.”
Trump’s Response
Donald Trump released a statement about New York’s decision, writing:
“Can you believe that New York wants to strip Rudy Giuliani, a great American Patriot, of his law license because he has been fighting what has already been proven to be a Fraudulent Election?
The greatest Mayor in the history of New York City, the Eliot Ness of his generation, one of the greatest crime fighters our Country has ever known, and this is what the Radical Left does to him. All of New York is out of control, crime is at an all-time high—it’s nothing but a Witch Hunt, and they should be ashamed of themselves. TAKE BACK AMERICA!”
