Senator Ted Cruz came totally unglued on Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. It happened during a Judiciary Committee hearing on border security. He started a passionate display by blaming the clueless administrator for “the rapes and deaths of children swept up in the security crisis at the border.” Mayorkas was too stunned to say anything back. He was horrified by the facts and everyone else in America is horrified he wasn’t aware of them.
Secretary Mayorkas on the spot
“Mr. Secretary, I want to say to you right now, your behavior is disgraceful. And the deaths, the children assaulted, the children raped, they are at your feet. And if you had integrity, you would resign.” Integrity is a word Mayorkas isn’t familiar with.
Conservative Senator Ted Cruz, representing conservatives in the border state of Texas, put Biden appointed Minister of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas on the spot, as well as the witness stand.
Since Congress won’t give amnesty to every single migrant, already here or not, Secretary Mayorkas decided he would just let them all in, on his own authority. Even if he doesn’t have that authority.

He simply did it anyway and now it’s up to us to put them all back. Mayorkas doesn’t have a care in the world how they get here, he just turned on the vacancy sign and got ready to welcome new Democrats.
Cruz was brutal and relentless with his grilling of the secretary. “The men and women of the Border Patrol, they’ve never had a political leader undermine them. They despise you, Mr. Secretary, because you’re willing to let children be raped to follow political orders.”
“This is a crisis. It’s a disgrace. And you won’t even admit this human tragedy is a crisis.” It’s not a crisis to Mayorkas, he planned for it.
Loss of operational control
Cruz is furious because he heard the previous testimony of Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz. When the Chief was on the stand, he testified that Democrat policies make their jobs nearly impossible and they have “lost operational control of security.”
A year ago, Mayorkas said the exact opposite. He won’t say if he agrees with that now. The Secretary won’t say a word. He’s too offended that Senator Cruz was mean to him and said nasty things.
Cruz went low enough to quiz Mayorkas on the wrist bands that come in attached to all the migrants. It was a cheap shot because the secretary was completely taken by surprise and never heard of the things before.
It was astonishing to see that Alejandro Mayorkas did not know what these wristbands are.

Mayorkas was forced to admit he didn’t know a thing about them. Cruz knows. He was happy to educate our soon to be impeached official.
“You don’t know what they are. Mr. Secretary, you just testified to the American people. You’re incompetent at your job. I’ve been to the southern border. And if you go to the southern border, along the southern border, you see thousands of these wristbands because the illegal immigrants wear them.”
“The drug cartels,” supply them, Cruz continued, “every color corresponds to how many thousands of dollars they owe the cartels. You have turned these cartels into multibillion-dollar criminal organizations.” Mayorkas won’t admit he gets a cut.
