You Won’t Believe Who Just Announced Their Presidential Campaign…

As one of the most vocal Republican critics of Donald Trump, former Wyoming Representative Liz Cheney is now teasing a possible run for president in 2024.

In an interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt, she made it clear that she wouldn’t do anything to help Trump’s return to the White House.

When asked if she would consider running as an independent if it meant hurting Trump more than helping him, Cheney discussed how important it was to elect “serious people” regardless of party affiliation.

She also mentioned her commitment to helping elect good candidates down the ballot and not ones who are aligned with Trump.

Last month, Cheney further distanced herself from the former president when he declared that he was “inclined” to pardon many Americans convicted during the Capitol riot on January 6th.

It’s this type of stance which has earned her criticism from conservative outlets – one attorney even accusing her of being unqualified for Congress after losing by 60 percentage points in her primary race last August.

Since her primary loss last August, Liz Cheney has been unwavering in her determination to prevent a second term for President Donald Trump.

Despite what many see as a lost cause, she remains dedicated to doing whatever it takes to make sure that doesn’t happen – even if that means considering a presidential run against him in 2024 albeit without any major announcements yet other than what she told Lester Holt, “I’m not going to do anything that helps Donald Trump.”

She also expressed her desire for more serious people leading our government instead of “electing idiots,” something which can only be achieved through bipartisan support and electing candidates who aren’t driven by their political affiliations but rather their dedication to country and democracy as a whole.

When President Donald Trump announced his inclination towards pardoning those involved in the Capitol riots earlier this year on January 6th, Liz Cheney had no qualms about speaking out against him on Twitter despite receiving backlash from conservative circles.

Her tweet read: “Any candidate who says they will pardon Jan 6 defendants is not qualified to be President.”
