Obama Advisor Breaks with Dems

Former senior Obama advisor David Axelrod has broken with the Democrat Party on a key issue that will likely be a deciding factor in this year’s midterms.

As the left continues their fast descent into authoritarianism, one major issue they have landed on the wrong side of is education. From being adamantly opposed to school choice, to supporting teacher’s unions over students, Democrats have consistently been in opposition to what is best for the American people on the issue of education. After the COVID pandemic hit, average Americans were finally able to see this. As schools closed and children were forced into online learning, parents were given a front-row seat to their children’s classrooms, seeing for the first time the indoctrination of their children into the left’s racist and sexual ideologies. There was almost immediate backlash for teachers, schools, and school boards, with parents across the country rising up and demanding a say in their children’s education. And this is where the left made what just might be their biggest mistake of all when it comes to education: they came forward claiming that ‘parents should have no say in their children’s education.’

Almost every prominent left-wing politician immediately fell in line with that talking point, pushing the idea that the government-approved curriculum from the school boards and teachers was what was best for children. But now, former senior Obama advisor David Axelrod, who is now a CNN commentator, has abruptly changed his mind.

“Parents should absolutely be involved in the schools their kids attend. Politicians absolutely should not!” Axelrod tweeted.

His brainwashed leftist followers pushed back on his statement immediately.

“Parents are not always qualified to determine educational materials,” wrote one Twitter user.

“I partially disagree, David. Sometimes legislation is needed to ensure that kids of all backgrounds can get an education. That’s when political engagement is needed in schools. Meanwhile some parents can be equally destructive towards the education related rights of other kids,” another claimed.

Meanwhile, conservatives praised the former Obama advisor for his change of heart.

“I’m glad David’s seeing the light,” Corey DeAngelis, national director of research at school choice organization American Federation for Children and an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute, told Fox News Digital. “This statement is a fantastic endorsement of school choice and parental rights in education. Parents know and care more about their children’s needs than bureaucrats sitting in offices hundreds of miles away.”
