Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA) just became part of the problem.
Kaine is now pushing a debunked narrative about Trump being disqualified from the election.
Dems keep leaning into this 14th Amendment before Trump has due process, and it will backfire on them.
No Due Process
Dems believe that simply being accused of sedition or insurrection is enough, but I don’t think the Supreme Court would see it that way.
They also need to consider the fact that Trump has not been charged with insurrection or sedition, so their point is mute right now.
Of course, as Trump’s trial plays out, that could change, but for now, this entire argument is mute.
That did not stop Kaine from pushing it, however.
He stated, “In my view, the attack on the Capitol that day was designed for a particular purpose at a particular moment.
“And that was to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power as laid out in the Constitution.
“So I think there’s a powerful argument to be made.”
This is the same person who believes there is no evidence of Joe Biden’s corruption.
Due process… how about we let these cases play out before you walk Trump into the gas chamber, Timmy?
