The shocking news of the week was Fox News and top-rated host Tucker Carlson parting ways.
The announcement made it sound as though it was an amicable split, but rest assured, it was anything but.
After Fox was forced to write a check to Dominion for almost $800 million, some heads were going to roll, and Tucker Carlson’s was at the top of that list.
Paying the Price
Fox News may have cut ties with Tucker Carlson, but it appears to be paying the price for it.
Carlson was, by far, one of the most popular hosts on the network.
However, he was also front and center amid the Dominion case.
Ironically, it was Tucker Carlson that called out some of the election challenges, especially when it came to Sidney Powell.
After Carlson was let go, Fox’s stock shares started to plummet, dropping by four percent by mid-day.
There was ample support for Tucker by other conservative pundits, however…
Good for Tucker. Trust me, he doesn’t need them. https://t.co/NjFqqsIV4q

And even a job offer…

Something tells me that Tucker Carlson is going to be just fine.
Fox News, well, that could be another story.
I know the early ratings reports for his show slot in key demographics were very poor on the first night, with Brian Kilmeade filling in for him.
I initially believed that more heads would roll, as Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham were also very much front and center in this suit, but Fox may be rethinking that approach, even if it does have to write another big check in the second defamation case that is about to begin.
