The most polarizing mayor in the country is in some deep sh**.
Her election is coming up, and Lori Lightfoot is not even close to the top of the results.
Currently, she is sitting in third, three points behind the leader in a very crowded field.
Time to Go
Chicago is an open election, so there is no shame for Democrats running against an incumbent, especially one as weak as Lightfoot.
If nobody gets over 50 percent, which will not happen in this election, there will be a runoff of the top two contenders in April.
Currently, Lightfoot is poling at 17 percent behind U.S. Rep. Jesus “Chuy” Garcia (20) and former Chicago Public Schools CEO Paul Vallas (18).
Lightfoot is going to have to make some big moves just to make the runoff but even if she does, it does not appear as though she will be able to win that.
With only a 22 percent approval rating, she should consider herself lucky to be among the top three in the race.
I know the city is going to elect a Democrat, but let’s just hope they elect one that will concentrate on the crime issue in the city.
We should probably also get ready for the “hate” excuses that Lightfoot will use if she loses.
It will not be her and her record, but rather her gender, her sexual affiliation, and, of course, her race.
