Get ready for a really big change in women’s sports.
A ruling just came down that ensures women’s powerlifting will never be the same again.
A recent case settlement means that transgenders can now compete in women’s events.
Kidding?
JayCee Cooper had been banned from competing in women’s sports.
Cooper just won a discrimination case, so since he identifies as a woman, he can now compete in women’s events for Team USA.
As part of the settlement, Fox News is reporting, “The organization must revise its policy related to those issues within two weeks, meaning trans athletes will be able to compete in the women’s category after previously being banned.”
Cooper filed the lawsuit against USA Powerlifting in 2021.
Cooper stated, “I was fed up with the way that I was being treated; I was fed up with the way that my community was being treated, and enough was enough.
“I feel mostly relief. I think we needed a win here, and it feels good to get that.”
This is JayCee, by the way…
The ruling stated, “The harm is in making a person pretend to be something different, the implicit message being that who they are is less than.
That is the very essence of separation and segregation, and it is what the MHRA prohibits.”
USA Powerlifting President Larry Maile responded, stating, “Our position has been aimed at balancing the needs of cis- and transgender women whose capacities differ significantly in purely strength sports.”
This is a non-contact sport, so the damage here is strictly in robbing biological women of the glory they work their entire lives for.
At some point, we are going to see transgenders women’s hockey, lacrosse, football, field hockey, basketball, as well as fighting sports.
When that happens, a biological women is going to get seriously hurt.
Let’s see how people feel about these utterly ridiculous rules then.
