Fox News’ Peter Doocy and two other reporters tag-teamed Biden spokesman John Kirby and it was epic.
The hits came after the administration released its internal review of Afghanistan withdrawal.
Doocy started the blood bath, and Kirby was forced to spin away for the rest of the presser.
Accountability
Doocy started, asking, “Who’s going to get fired over this?”
Kirby replied, “The purpose of the document that we’re putting out today is to sort of collate the chief reviews and findings of the agencies that did after-action reviews.
“The purpose of it is not accountability. The purpose of it is to study lessons learned.”
Another reporter hit Kirby on that, stating, “You assign so much accountability to the Trump administration and very little, comparatively, to your own.”
Then yet another reporter came in to hit them on the holiday weekend information dump.
He stated, “I think I speak on behalf of my colleagues in this room when we want the record to reflect that this was sent to us about 10 minutes before the briefing began with little notice, and it’s the very definition of a modern major holiday news dump.
“You’re releasing this at the beginning of the high holidays and after months of requests from Republicans and the broader public.”
Kirby, of course, continued to spin, but the media is clearly getting tired of this garbage and starting to hit this administration pretty hard.
Let’s just hope that continues.
