With Democrats figuring out 100 different ways to waste COVID money, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) figured out a way to put some of it to use.
Schools are reportedly sitting on more than $100 billion of unused COVID funds.
Cruz wanted to use some of that to bolster school security, only a Democrat got in his way.
I Object
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) has proven to the country he is an absolute tool.
Murphy, for no reason, objected to Cruz’s bill being moved forward by unanimous consent.
Why? He said that Ted Cruz was doing nothing more than political theater with his bill and he had a better one.
The problem… The Senator that Murphy said he was working with on legislation says he has no idea what Murphy is talking about.
After Murphy blocked his legislation, Cruz stated, “If another lunatic attacks a school, and there’s not a police officer at the front door to stop it, remember right now.
“Remember this moment when the Democrats said, ‘No, we will not protect our kids.'”
Murphy did help get a piece of legislation passed earlier this year with Senator Cornyn (R-TX), but it was a red flag law bill that will probably cost Cornyn his seat.
On Murphy’s bill, Cruz stated, “There’s no money on the left for actually stopping these crimes.
“The money is for disarming law-abiding citizens.”
Oh, by the way, the Senator that Murphy said he was working with on a school security bill, Senator Lankford (R-OK), actually co-sponsored Cruz’s bill.
The man is a complete and utter idiot.
