President Donald Trump turned heads when he came out with a shocking endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz.
Trump Backs Dr. Oz
Dr. Oz is running for Senate in the state of Pennsylvania. Conservatives came out strong against Trump’s seemingly odd decision.
The celebrity doctor is a big supporter of Roe v. Wade and also has done segments about transgender children on his TV show.

In one of his episodes, Oz’s show promoted young children being turned into a gender that they were not born. In an interview with a small girl, they discussed bodily mutilation in a positive way. The 7th-grade girl has a double mastectomy because she felt like she had chest tumors. Dr. Oz called this “cutting edge stuff.”
Sides with China?
In another disturbing instance, the controversial doctor discussed how he admired what the Chinese Communist Party was doing in regards to enacting brutal lockdowns in Wuhan.
“We have to copy what they did. Take their blueprint and repeat it here in this country,” he said in an interview.

To make matters worse, he is a proponent of gun control and even urged the CDC to enforce gun control in 2018.
Safice to say, Trump’s endorsement of the very left-leaning doctor gave many conservatives pause.
While Trump’s record while being president is quite persistent, his ability to choose good people to surround himself with is not very good.
Whether it be William Barr or Jeff Sessions, people Trump has chosen to align himself with often turn out to be his enemies.
Trump once endorsed Mitt Romney who turned out to be one of the biggest RINOs of all time.
Faith in Trump Possibly Dropping
So why would Trump decide to endorse someone so controversial and radical to the Republican Party?
Many are asking that question.
With the 2024 election looming, it seems odd that Trump continues a self-sabotage approach. Or it is possible that his advisors are the issue. But Trump still holds responsibility for his decisions regardless of his advisors’ urgings.
Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Oz is certainly a head-scratcher and one that may set a precedent for the future.
