In a stunning surprise, Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently announced that he had “cleared his schedule” and flew 3,000 miles across the country in order to attend the tribute for Sonny Barger in Stockton, California.
The longtime president and founding member of the Oakland chapter of the Hells Angels motorcycle club was honored by over 7,000 attendees at the Stockton 99 Speedway.
When asked why he made such a long trek, Carlson shared that there were several reasons – primarily because he is from California.
He went on to express how happy he was that this part of California still existed and thanked those present for smoking cigarettes – something not seen much since 30 years ago.
Furthermore, he talked about cruising up I-5 with his mother when they used to see all the vehicles immediately pull to the slow lanes as the Hells Angels motorcycles whizzed by them.
The most moving part of Carlson’s speech came when he discussed a letter penned by Barger before his death which contained life advice about “always stand tall, stay loyal, remain free and always value honor”.
These words resonated deeply with Carlson who admitted that these words were more profound than anything coming out from people who run our country today; it made him emotional reading it knowing its author was an iconic outlaw biker.
He then took a jab at Joe Biden wondering why we don’t hear similar phrases from him every single morning when saluting our flag.
The crowd erupted in applause following these remarks and it was clear that everyone present felt so much admiration towards both men – Bobby Barger and Tucker Carlson alike – for their courage and commitment to their beliefs.
