This week, sadly, we lost one of the most iconic actors of our time.
Kirk Douglas passed away on Wednesday at the age of 103.
His son, Michael, announced the death via Instagram, stating, “It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103.
“To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the Golden Age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to.”
Rather than discuss the obvious, we thought we would recap some of the lesser-known facts about Douglas, a man that singlehandedly made tens of millions of people fall in love with the big screen.
