Two officers in California had their bodycams rolling in what ended being a life-or-death situation.
The video shows two things…
First, just how quickly things can go sideways on what seems like an innocent call.
Second, it shows how training pays off as the female officer on the scene did an absolutely amazing job to protect her partner and take out the suspect.
Hey!
Police officers were responding to a call by a woman who was being aggressively tailgated.
She was told to head to the police station.
She did, and her tailgater was in tow.
As the officers arrived, the suspect, 22-year-old Matthew-Tuan Ahn Tran, headed to the front doors of the station.
The female officer, Abigal Fox, was speaking with the woman while Officer Mark Milward went to talk to Tran.
All seemed okay and Milward went over to talk to his partner when the whole situation exploded.
Tran emerged from the doorway with a gun and fired a shot at Milward, striking him in the chest.
Fox did not hesitate, hitting Tran with a headshot and putting him down…
Her composure in the that setting is absolutely amazing and she needs to be commended for the job she did to hit a headshot under pressure as well as maintaining her composure and protecting her partner.
