I know this may come as a surprise, but Democrats are furious with Donald Trump right now.
This time, however, they may actually have a point.
Earlier this week, reports of a possible Donald Trump arrest were leaked out to the media.
Trump’s reaction has caused quite a stir, and Democrats are going bonkers right now.
Protest!
Trump may be arrested as soon as Tuesday, if the reports are accurate.
The former president made a post on Truth Social reacting to the news, calling on his supporters to show up and protest his arrest.
The post stated, “NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!, [sic]”
This immediately evoked thoughts of January 6.
Honestly, even when I saw his post, considering everything that happened before and what he is going through right now, could not believe he even suggested that his supporters show up for something like this.
I knew Democrats would be all over it, and they were.
Former House Speaker Pelosi stated, “The former president’s announcement this morning is reckless: doing so to keep himself in the news & to foment unrest among his supporters.
“He cannot hide from his violations of the law, disrespect for our elections and incitements to violence. Rightfully, our legal system will decide how to hold him accountable.”
Whatever the Grand Jury decides, its consideration makes clear: no one is above the law, not even a former President of the United States.

Kevin McCarthy once again playing the part of criminal defense counsel to shield Trump from accountability.
Heedless of the consequences to the country, he stirs the pot, and calls for an investigation of the investigators.
It’s all part of Trump’s playbook.

This is a complete and utter disaster for Republicans right now, but we have to wait and see how it all plays out, as it could completely flip the script.
If Dems come away empty, it will energize the party like never before.
