Lori Lightfoot is going to leave office, literally, with a bang.
This past weekend, the weather got warmer, and the gunshots started to ring out again.
A total of 15 people were shot, two of them fatally, in Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago.

We are barely into May and the morgue already has 165 bodies stacked up.
The only solace from this past weekend is that there were no children killed this time around.
Both deceased were in their 30s, according to local reports.
Over the last two weekends, there have been 35 shootings, showing that the violence is already starting to wind up again.
The big question now is what will be different once Lightfoot leaves and the new mayor takes over.
My guess is, based on what we have seen of him thus far, things are only going to get worse.
