All we have heard over the last month is how corrupt Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is.
This is all centered around the idea that he was taking trips with what he says is a close friend, but also someone that is a GOP megadonor.
There have also been issues such as tuition being covered.
Thomas says they did not have to reported because they were gifts from friends, but Dems say it is proof he is compromised, even though there is no evidence any of this ever impacted a decision made by the court.
Well, as I suggested, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) dug into Democrats to find similar instances.
They All Do It
According to Cruz, over a 15 year-span, liberal members of the court took more than 1,300 trips that were paid for by Democrat donors.
Recently retired Stephen Breyer took more than 15 percent of those trips, which included trips that were funded by the Pritzker family.
RBG was not above this conduct, but one trip she took should have Democrats in a frenzy if they are upset about Thomas.
In 2018, Ginsburg accepted a trip that was paid for by billionaire Israeli businessman Morris Kahn.
Kahn had a case before the court in 2017, but did anyone dare say a word when he paid for Ginsburg’s trip the following year?
Of course not!
If there is corruption, root it out. Otherwise, this is a big nothing burger.
