You really have to wonder what people are thinking sometimes when they decide to make one of those idiotic videos for social media.
Such was the case for Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan.
Whitmer mocked Catholics by feeding a social media influencer a Doritos chip in a communion-like fashion.
What I Meant Was…
You have to see this nonsense to believe it…
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer feeds a left-wing podcaster a Dorito as if it’s the Eucharist while wearing a Kamala/Walz hat.
But word on the street is that JD Vance is weird and that MAGA is a cultpic.twitter.com/zgvq5sZntZ

Needless to say, Catholics were upset about it.
Paul A. Long, the president of the Michigan Catholic Conference stated that the skit imitates “the posture and gestures of Catholics receiving the Holy Eucharist, in which we believe that Jesus Christ is truly present.
“It is not just distasteful or ‘strange;’ it is an all-too-familiar example of an elected official mocking religious persons and their practices.”
Bill Donohue, the President of the Catholic League also hit Whitmer, saying that she had “insulted Catholics nationwide when she intentionally ridiculed the Eucharist in a video.
“The short video was posted by podcaster Liz Plank on her Instagram account. Whitmer, who is wearing a Harris-Walz hat, is standing above Plank, who is kneeling in front of her.
“Plank opens her mouth and Whitmer places a Dorito chip on her tongue, mocking the Eucharist.”
Whitmer then offered up the obligatory apology, stating, “Over 25 years in public service, I would never do something to denigrate someone’s faith.
“I’ve used my platform to stand up for people’s right to hold and practice their personal religious beliefs.
“My team has spoken to the Michigan Catholic Conference.
“What was supposed to be a video about the importance of the CHIPS Act to Michigan jobs, has been construed as something it was never intended to be, and I apologize for that.”
I am just curious other than the chip itself, what part of the video promotes the CHIPS Act?
She thought her leftist buddies would get a hoot out of it and she never expected pushback from the Catholics, but that is exactly what she got.
As I have said countless times, in private, and now sometimes in public, they are laughing at us.
