After reading this story, everyone needs to ask themselves if Joe Biden is really interested in doing what is best for the American people.
A group of Republicans are sponsoring a bill called the Justice for Angel Families Act.
It would replace legislation that was ended by this administration in 2021.
The problem… they are getting zero support from the Biden administration.
Helping Americans
This legislation would codify the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office that was put in place during the Trump administration.
Biden and Secretary Mayorkas tanked the initiative because they believed it put a negative stigma on illegal immigrants.
Forget the fact the office was put in place to help Americans that fell victim to crimes committed by them.
Rep. Troy Nehls (R-TX), a former sheriff who worked in a border town, stated, “Sadly, relatives of these victims or next-of-kin are forced to bear the financial and emotional fall-out of these criminal acts, with no support from the current Administration.
“Our legislation will help to provide support to these families of illegal alien crime, as my colleagues across the aisle continue to put these violent criminals first.”
Sadly, the only people signing on to this legislation thus far are all Republicans, so we will probably have to wait until after the election to have a realistic shot of having this passed.
Even then, Joe Biden could strike it down with a veto.
