Joe Biden may be one of the biggest mudslingers in this presidential race, but he apparently does not like it very much when someone does the same to him.

The Bernie Sanders campaign is circulating a new video about Biden that Joe says is “doctored.”

As such, he is demanding the Sanders campaign disavow the video and immediately have it taken down.

I Want It Down

During an appearance in Iowa on Saturday, Biden stated, “There’s a little doctored video going around … put out by one of Bernie’s people.

“I’m looking for his campaign to come forward and disown it.

“But they haven’t done it yet.”

The problem for Biden is the video is not technically doctored, it is just selectively edited to get a quote from Biden that will infuriate progressives.

In the video, Biden states, “Paul Ryan was correct when he did the tax code. What’s the first thing he decided we had to go after?

“Social Security and Medicare … That’s the only way you can find room to pay for it.”

As far as the Sanders campaign is concerned, this is exactly where Biden has stood on this issue for quite some time.

When told about Biden’s demand, the Sanders campaign responded, “Joe Biden should be honest with voters and stop trying to doctor his own public record of consistently and repeatedly trying to cut Social Security.

“The facts are very clear: Biden not only pushed to cut Social Security — he is on tape proudly bragging about it on multiple occasions.

“The vice president must stop dodging questions about his record, and start explaining why he has so aggressively pushed to slash one of the most significant and successful social programs in American history, which millions of Americans rely on for survival.”

To that point, the Sanders campaign is actually correct, as Biden has a long history of attacking these programs.

For instance, in 1994, Biden stated, “When I argued that we should freeze federal spending, I meant Social Security, as well.

“I meant Medicare and Medicaid. I meant veterans’ benefits. … And I not only tried it once. I tried it twice, I tried it a third time, and I tried it a fourth time.”

The Sanders campaign maintains that we can’t go by what Biden is saying now, that we need to look at his record, a record that is decades-long, to see the real Joe Biden.

Funny, we have been saying that from the very day Biden announced. Maybe now that his own party members are saying the same thing people will finally realize just how much of a fraud Joe Biden really is.
