A new proposal for Colorado’s upcoming redistricting would present a little bit of a challenge for popular America-First Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO). The revision of congressional districts would place the first term Representative who has been a thorn in the side of Speaker Nancy Pelosi since day one of her tenure in a re-election campaign in a heavily Democrat-leaning district against current Congressman Joe Neguse (D-CO). Based on a recent tweet from the Congressman, he’s already nervous and asking for money.
So, if the redistricting map released tonight holds, looks like I may be running for re-election against . . . Lauren Boebert.

The new map has redrawn the battle-lines for the centennial state, according to Colorado Public Radio, Republican Frank McNulty, a former state House speaker and the registered agent of the Colorado Neighborhood Coalition, which has been advocating for congressional maps from a conservative perspective said,
“it looked like the new Congressional map would create three safe Republican seats, three safe Democratic ones and two competitive districts. While he’s relatively pleased overall, McNulty said he considers some of the staff’s choices illogical, such as grouping Boulder with the northwest corner of the state. ”
“The staff did the best they could with a recommendation they had to create a southern district,” McNulty said. He did question some choices though. “The idea of putting Northwest Colorado’s cattle ranchers with vegans in Boulder doesn’t make sense.”
“Rural Colorado is the huge loser,” said Josh Penry, a Republican campaign operative who worked to pass the amendments that set up the new redistricting process. “I mean, rural Colorado got sliced and diced.”
America-First Boebert Doesn’t Seem Worried
If we’re going to base our concept on who is more comfortable with the proposed match-up between Boebert and Neguse on Twitter, it would have to be Lauren Boebert. Rather than immediately calling for aid and donations, she’s calling out the shenanigans and cracking jokes. She doesn’t seem nearly as worried as Joe Neguse and seems ready to avenge rural Colorado for being “sliced and diced”. All things considered, this is shaping up to be a very interesting 2022 Congressional race for Colorado and for the rest of the United States as well, and if early indications of redistricting hold true, it could see the end of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s last grip of the gavel. And hopefully we can look forward to two more years of Lauren Boebert terrifying Democrat-Socialists.
