Announcement Rocks Nancy Pelosi and Democrats

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat allies are in panic mode after Senator Lindsey Graham called Pelosi out as the person responsible for ensuring the protection of the Capitol building during the storming of the Capitol on January 6.

As the left and the mainstream media lay all of the blame on President Trump and conservatives, they seem to have forgotten the role the Democrat leadership of Washington, D.C. plays in the security of the Capitol.

Senator Graham pointed this out during an interview on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.

“I understand what happened on January the 6th was one of the low points in my time in office. It was horrendous to see these people take over the Capitol, the House, and the Senate, beat officers, defile the seat of government, how in the hell could that happen? Where was Nancy Pelosi, it was her job to provide Capitol security? We will get to the bottom of that,” Graham said.

Alongside the Capitol police, the responsibility for security of the building falls on the Sergeant at Arms of the House, under the direction of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. After the events that unfolded on January 6, the chief of the Capitol Police resigned under pressure, and the sergeants-at-arms of the Senate and the House of Representatives resigned their posts.

Taking his statement a step further, Graham called out Pelosi directly, and indicated that he will launch an investigation into the issue in his capacity as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The Washington Post also reported that Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund said he asked House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant at Arms Michael Stenger to place the DC National Guard on standby before the rally on January 6, but was turned down by both of them.

Drew Hammill, Nancy Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, was outraged at the accusation. He immediately attacked Graham on Twitter, but didn’t actually respond to the allegations made against his boss.

“This disgraceful attempt to shift blame for the mob attack on the Capitol is absurd & pathetic. He need only look in the mirror if he wants to start pointing a finger. He has repeatedly cast doubts on results of a fair election & dangerously fanned flames of rightwing quackery,” Hammill tweeted.

Later in the interview with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo, Graham discussed Joe Biden and the second impeachment of President Trump.

Graham stated that Biden “is off to a lousy start,” and also mentioned his concerns that the former vice president will not stand up to the left-wing mob as president.

“It would be so easy for him in the name of healing this country to — to tell Schumer to stand down impeachment. No good comes from impeaching President Trump out of office but he can’t do that. So I’m really worried that he’s going to stand up to the radical left on anything,” Graham said.

“What you have done is impeach the president without one witness being called and not even having a lawyer. That’s dangerous to the presidency. I think it was a bad, rushed emotional move that puts the presidency at risk or… calls for further division in the country,” the senator added.

“To my Senate Republicans, don’t legitimize an unconstitutional effort to impeach President Trump. It becomes the model for the future. Will we pursue presidents in perpetuity when they do something we don’t like and we hound them when they are out of office? The Constitution was never meant to do that. That’s a scarlet letter impeachment,” he continued.
