It would appear that Joe Biden forgot to take care of something before he halted the border wall construction.
A suit was brought against the administration by a private rancher in Arizona.
What is most shocking about this case is that someone in the Republican Party did not think to go after Biden on this front.
You Forgot Something
So, apparently, before Biden ordered the halting of the construction wall, there should have been an environmental study ordered on the impacts this decision would have on the local environment.
This is apparently a requirement of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
Local rancher Steven Smith sued the administration on the grounds the halting of the wall impacted the environment and his ranch in a negative way.
He mentioned the heavy traffic from migrants coming across his land, the trash that is being left behind, which has also led to problems with his herd, which has taken to mistaking the trash for food, and even his water supply.
For instance, on the troughs being emptied by illegals, it was stated, “While this may aid thirsty trespassers, it causes Smith to lose ‘thousands and thousands of gallons of water,’ which ‘can take [him] days and days and days to regain.”
Judge Trevor McFadden of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia agreed, ruling that Smith “suffered concrete and particularized injuries” due to border wall construction being stopped.
We have not yet seen the fallout from the decision, and we fully expect the administration to appeal, but Mr. Smith here could be on to something.
But again, why did members of Congress not bring this issue up when after Biden stopped the wall and started to sell off supplies?
The only negative aspect of this ruling is that it is taking place right before our election.
The solace of that is that if Harris wins the election, she may be forced to continue Trump’s border wall construction thanks to this rancher.
