Biden has been trying to push through the last few pieces of his student loan forgiveness plan, but it just got blocked again.

US District Judge Randal Hall ruled that “good cause exists” to delay the plan another 14 days.

The red state attorneys general who filed the suit celebrated, but we are still far from winning this fight.

Block It

Red state attorneys general from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, North Dakota, and Ohio filed suit against the Biden administration and Education Secretary Cardona.

The case was to block the last wave of student loan forgiveness to the tune of $147 billion.

Hall ruled, “The extension will allow the Court to appropriately review and assess the Parties’ submitted briefs and argument offered during the September 18, 2024, hearing and to issue an Order addressing the pending motions.”

Biden’s initial plan had been blocked by the Supreme Court due to the enormous amount of taxpayer dollars involved.

So, Biden started to put this package together, piece by piece, picking off different sectors of borrowers.

In this case, Biden’s forgiveness was for those who have been paying the student loans for the last 20 years of up to $20,000, and graduate students who had been paying their loans for the last 25 years.

Every time Biden gives out these freebies, that total goes right to national debt, a present for American taxpayers.

All this really is, is a way for Democrats to buy votes from a full generation of voters that took out loans and don’t want to pay them back like most of us did.

Sadly, if Harris wins the election, this piece meal student loan forgiveness plan will only continue, which is yet another reason to make sure we do not allow her to win this election.
