Joe Biden just informed liberals that a key campaign promise is not going to happen.
Numerous Democrats ran on codifying Roe v. Wade in the 2022 election.
Joe Biden just let them know that is not going to happen, a statement he knew would be a problem as soon as he said it.
Better to Stay Silent
In October, Biden stated, “The first bill I will send to the Congress will be to codify Roe v. Wade.
“And when Congress passes it, I’ll sign it in January, 50 years after Roe was first decided the law of the land.”
Joe Biden needs 60 votes in the Senate, which he will not have.
At no time during the election season did it seem like Democrats would have 60 seats, yet the promise was made because Democrats needed the votes.
On Monday, Biden shattered their hopes, stating, “I don’t think they can expect much of anything other than we’re going to maintain our positions.
“I’m not going to get into more questions. I shouldn’t even have answered your question.
“I don’t think there’s enough votes to codify, unless something happens unusual in the House. I think we’re going to get very close in the House.
“I think we’re going to be very close, but I don’t think we’re going to make it.”

Not only did Biden regret giving that answer, but he also hinted as to what he will do regarding ending the filibuster as an exception.
That also no longer seems to be on the table or he would have said it there.
Sorry, liberals, but Joey lied to you again.
