Former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch was once considered an ideal State Department employee.
Today, we know she was undermining our President at every opportunity and recent comments have proven the decision to remove her from her post was 100 percent correct.
The Liberal Outrage
By her most recent behavior, Yovanovitch is worthy of sitting next to Pelosi in Congress.
She was undermining Trump for months while she was the ambassador.
When she was called to testify before Congress, she sounded like an angry, petulant child that was doing her best to ensure that Trump was removed from office.
Now, she is hinting that Trump is reminiscent of some of the most horrific dictators around the world.
She stated, “I have seen dictatorships around the world, where blind obedience is the norm and truth-tellers are threatened with punishment or death.
“We must not allow the United States to become a country where standing up to our government is a dangerous act.”
Got It All Wrong
Where Yovanovitch and most liberals today get it wrong is in how they perceive standing up to the government.
As conservatives, we stand up to our government and hold it accountable all the time.
However, what we do not do is openly lie and twist narratives to suit our own purposes.
Yovanovitch was not standing up to Trump, she was undermining his entire administration while serving her post.
She was literally telling other officials to hold on and wait because she thought he was going to be impeached and removed from office.
Regardless of what was going on and whether she supported that movement or not, she should have continued to do her job, not making decisions based on the premise that Trump was going to be removed from office.
Yovanovitch, however, is trying to play the martyr.
She recently stated, “It has been shocking to experience the storm of criticism, lies and malicious conspiracies that have preceded and followed my public testimony, but I have no regrets.”
She further stated, “This administration, through acts of omission and commission, has undermined our democratic institutions, making the public question the truth and leaving public servants without the support and example of ethical behavior that they need to do their jobs and advance U.S. interests.”
Well, that is what happens when you are not doing your job properly and are secretly working behind the scenes to participate in one of the most blatant coups we have seen in modern history.
If I were Yovanovitch, I would just fade into the sunset before she becomes the subject of an investigation.
If that happens, I have little doubt she could wind up in an orange jumpsuit, with possible charges of treason in her future.
