More and more eyewitness accounts of the carnage that took place at the Supernova Music Festival in Israel continue to surface. One on-call doctor spoke with NBC News about his harrowing experience and tragedy that he encountered at the site.
His account is one of many that reveals the brutality and lack of humanity that the attack had taken place.
When the air raid sirens first started going off, Dr. Stuart Gensler was home with his children before receiving a call from an organization asking for medical professionals to consult with hostages trapped by Hamas in Gaza Strip.
The first family he spoke to was particularly hard for him to handle as they described their father with hands and legs blown off from Hamas’ attack. “I was able to hear rapid gunfire behind them, and they were trying to say that he was losing consciousness,” said Gensler while apologizing for such graphic description.
With no resources available for evacuation, Gensler headed towards the border hoping to provide aid but instead witnessed something far more horrifying than he could have ever imagined – piles of executed civilians along the side of road and a total disregard for human life by Hamas terrorists who laughed as they committed mass murder on innocent people attending the festival.
Dr. Gensler also had a relative present at Supernova Music Festival during this heinous act by Hamas which resulted in her running away for miles until she found Israeli soldiers who provided her safety from further harm done by terrorists.
She described how motorized paragliders entered into festival grounds with guns blazing – leaving behind piles dead bodies after their mission was completed. This event has left everyone shaken due its complete disregard towards human life.
As reported by Dr. Gensler, there seems no regard or respect shown towards human life when it comes down these terrorist attacks.
