The woke agenda almost cost Donald Trump Jr. a business venture.
Jr. and former Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich were doing their business banking for an aggregate news app at PNC Bank.
When Budowich went to pay some bills, he was kindly told the account had been closed and PNC was no longer doing business with his company.
Seriously?
There was no reason given at the time, just a teller delivering the bad news.
Budowich stated, “The teller said he was unable to complete the transfers as the account had been closed and the balance had been zeroed out.
“After being told to call a generic help line, I was informed by the PNC representative that per the terms and conditions, PNC reserves the right to re-evaluate their business relationships at any time and terminate.
“Woke corporations are using their terms and conditions like a guillotine over the head of every conservative entrepreneur.”
The story blew up on social media due to the nature of their app.
It is designed to compete with applications like Google News and Apple News, only without the censorship conservatives often experience.
After the story blew up, PNC decided to backtrack and reopened the accounts, claiming this was just a “good faith error,” whatever that means.
The bank stated, “Account closures can occur for a variety of reasons but are never influenced by the political views or affiliations of our customers.
“We’ve looked closely into the circumstances surrounding the closure of the ROCDIGITAL, LLC account and determined it was mistakenly closed due to a good faith error.
“We have reopened the account and we apologize for any inconvenience.”
I guarantee you if these two did not have such a high profile, that account would have remained closed.
