President Trump has taken considerable criticism for some of his comments during the daily press briefings.
Up until now, Dr. Fauci seemingly stood behind what Trump was saying, but his frustration over inaccurate statements or statements based more on hope than science now seem to be openly frustrating Dr. Fauci.
Frustration Settles In
President Trump has a tough task when he takes the microphone during these press conferences.
He generally speaks, gives us an update, then turns it over the task force and medical experts.
However, once he takes the microphone back, he gets hit with questions that, in all honesty, he is not best served to answer.
When it comes to possible medications, treatments, vaccines, and supply chains, he should be allowing those directly handling these situations to speak.
Because of the negative coverage Trump has received throughout his presidency, however, he has this incessant need to make it sound as though he the man behind every positive move being made.
Trump wants to be the one to announce medical equipment is available and Trump wants to be the one to announced some medications are useful in treatment.
In this process, he often mixes up numbers or gives a hopeful view rather than an actual scientific one.
In this environment, every mistake he makes is magnified tenfold and you can often see the frustration in the mannerisms and face of Dr. Fauci and the other task force members on the dais.
Addressing this very issue, Dr. Fauci stated, “I can’t jump in front of the microphone and push him down.
“OK, he said it. Let’s try and get it corrected for the next time.”
Dr. Fauci, however, also had something positive to say about his interactions with Trump.
He stated, “He goes his own way. He has his own style.
“But on substantive issues, he does listen to what I say.”
When this crisis is over, it will be very interesting to see how the overall response by this administration is graded.
Trump has made some exceptional moves, such as closing down travel with China and other countries very early in the process.
My best guess, though, is that everything positive he did will be ignored and the mistakes that were made, and we know there were and are mistakes being made, are going to take front and center to try to destroy this administration.
Trump is doing the best he can with the little facts available to stop this virus. Is there any point in time when these hate Trumpers’, who apparently can hear grass grow, will give him the courtesy of acknowledging he is doing what he and his team feel is best. These individuals are vicious and completely destructive to all Americans.
Trump is just who he is a Narcissists who has to be more knowledgeable than anyone else, that is exactly why he has told those 10,000 lies or misinformation in just 3 years.
Trump does not want anyone to know more than him, supposedly that is why he very seldom even reads the intelligence briefings that every other President went deep into.
