Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) is throwing daggers again.
Instead of Trump, however, this time it is House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).
It is a good thing Kinzinger is not running for re-election because he pretty much sealed his fate with these comments.
Compelling But All Hearsay
When Cassidy Hutchinson testified before the January 6 committee during prime-time, it was very compelling.
Only there was one problem…
About 99 percent of what she said was hearsay and/or conjecture.
Every key part of her testimony was pushed back upon by the sources she cited, including a note that was posted that she swore up and down was in her handwriting (it wasn’t).
Even when the committee had opportunities to corroborate her story, it failed to do so.
That brings to light the question… does anyone believe a 25-year-old no-name aide had this much access to high-ranking officials?
To that point, Hutchinson also claimed to have a conversation with McCarthy, to which he responded, “If I talked to her, I don’t remember it. If it was coming up here, I don’t think I wanted a lot of people coming up to the Capitol. But I don’t remember the conversation.”
Kinzinger went off, stating, “I mean, look, I don’t trust a thing Kevin McCarthy says, I’ll be honest with you.”
He further stated, “Sometime about a year or two ago, he made the decision that his only goal was to become Speaker of the House.
“And he’ll do whatever he has to do, and he thinks that siding with the insurrectionists is the way to get there.”
Then, on Hutchinson, he stated, “The idea she would just come up with that story and make it up is ludicrous.”
Does he know she completely made up the story about the note, and apparently the stories about the Secret Service agents?
So, yes, Adam, it is possible that she made up the whole thing!
