Tyrannical Democrat Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s husband has been caught in the act. Marc Mallory, her husband, was busted requesting that his boat placed in the water before the Memorial Day weekend despite his wife urging residents to refrain from rushing into her easing of her previous ‘stay-at-home’ orders, which also limited the opening of many businesses.
Last week, Whitmer eased on her orders and ‘allowed’ gatherings of ten or less people, as long as these social gatherers maintained a six-foot spacing apart from each other, while wearing protective face coverings inside enclosed spaces.
In a briefing, Whitmer said, “You can take the boat out. You can have a beer and grill some burgers, or have a water balloon fight with your children, but please remember to stay safe.”
She also added, “Let’s not all go rushing out and force a closure. If you don’t live in these regions, think long and hard before you take a trip to them.”
Apparently, her husband did not listen to her warnings.
Tad Dowker, owner of NorthShore Dock LLC, stated that a man came to his company requesting that his boat be placed in the water before the Memorial Day weekend. Dowker politely told the man that it would be impossible since his company was three weeks behind in their activities. The man gave an interesting response.
He said, “I am the husband of the Governor. Will this make a difference?”
Dowker gleefully posted this incident on Facebook. He stated “our Governor and her husband will not be getting their boat for memorial day (sic).” After the Facebook post went viral, Dowker deleted it due to the enormous amount of calls he was getting about Whitmer and her husband.
On Monday, Whitmer’s spokeswoman, Tiffany Brown, refused to confirm nor deny Whitmer’s husband’s defiant act. Brown stated that the Whitmer administration does not reply to “every rumor that is spread online.”
Brown stated, “Our practice is not to discuss the governor’s or her family’s personal calendar/schedules. And we’re not going to make it a practice of addressing every rumor that is spread online. There’s been a lot of wild misinformation spreading online attacking the governor and her family, and the threats of violence against her personally are downright dangerous.”
During the Coronavirus panic, Whitmer has taken a stronghold approach to locking down the state. She has continually denounced demonstrators and unfairly characterized them as racist. Whitmer’s husband’s actions sparked a storm on social media. Thomas Barrett, a Republican Member of the Michigan Senate, struck blows against Whitmer on Facebook.
In his post, he stated, “What is more concerning than her husband allegedly trying to twist the arm of a small business is the fact that the Governor herself said not to rush to Traverse City just because she was allowing them to reopen.”
The ‘stay-at-home’ draconian rules were never about health and welfare, it was always about control, especially for Democratic governors, like Whitmer. Whitmer’s husband’s actions demonstrate that there are two rules: one for them and one for us.
