Ron DeSantis has been bobbing and weaving so far in this race.
Even though he has not announced, Trump has made him the focus of all his attacks.
That all changed this week when DeSantis took the gloves off.
Hitting Back
I thought DeSantis’ recent press conference was a great response.
He both pointed out the weaponization of the office by Bragg, but he also landed a good jab against Trump.
Then DeSantis sat down with Piers Morgan, where he really let Trump have it.
He stated, “I also think just in terms of my approach to leadership, I get personnel in the government who have the agenda of the people and share our agenda.
“You bring your own agenda in, you’re gone.
“We’re just not gonna have that.
“So, the way we run the government, I think, is no daily drama, focus on the big picture and put points on the board, and I think that’s something that’s very important.”
Trump’s camp was clearly worried that DeSantis knocked it out of the park, immediately coming after him for what they deemed was a weak response against Bragg.
I would imagine Trump is preparing to get very muddy, so dig in, Ron, because the big attacks are still to come.
