Security teams overseeing political appointees continue to drop the ball.
The latest being the NYPD team that is assigned to New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
The alleged culprit, Michael Aromando, was caught inside the mayor’s mansion, but not before he got his hands on some Christmas decorations.

According to the NYPD, Aromando was spotted around 4:30 a.m. local time, and he was quickly arrested with a Christmas ornament in hand.
He is being charged with second-degree attempted burglary.
Here is the fun part of this report, however.
We have all seen the stories in New York of violent migrant criminals being let out without bail, but that is not what happened here.
The judge issued a $5,000 bail for Aromando even though this was not a violent crime, so tell me how that makes sense.
By the way, Mayor Adams has his own legal problems to worry about.
Adams has been indicted for bribery and campaign finance violations, but he may have a pardon in his back pocket.
He started to suck up to Trump over the immigration issue after initially blaming all his problems on Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Donald Trump.
Only when his legal problems started did he start kissing up to Trump, knowing that because this was an immigration issue, he might get on Trump’s good side.
It worked because Trump has already stated that he believes Adams has not been treated fairly and will consider pardoning him if he gets convicted.
Now, I don’t know about you guys, but I am sick and tired of seeing corrupt politicians get away with this nonsense, so I am hoping that someone gets in Trump’s ear and convinces him otherwise.
I just don’t see any benefit to allowing a corrupt Democrat off the hook.
