The world has gone completely mad and the lack of respect for life these days is horrifying.
Look no further than a recent attempted shoplifting at a Maryland grocery store.
Rather than simply returning the stolen items to the shelves, a shoplifter drew her gun and murdered a security guard.
Mad, Mad World
A Giant grocery store in Oxon Hill, MD, was the scene of the crime.
Prince George’s County Police Major Zachary O’Lare explained the situation.
The store’s security guard confronted a woman who had shoplifted and demanded she return the items several times.
She eventually drew a weapon from her backpack and opened fire, hitting the guard.
Even though he was shot, the guard was able to return fire, hitting the woman.
When authorities arrived, the guard was dead on the scene.
The shoplifter was still alive, but she too would die after having been transported to a local hospital.
Two people are dead… over groceries.
O’Lare stated, “It’s quite concerning that these brazen acts are occurring, you know, across the country and in our backyard, especially right near our police division.”
