Earlier this week, a police officer was killed serving a mental health order.
Two other officers were also shot.
This is the type of call where defund the police Democrats want mental health workers instead of police.
Keep that in mind as you read this report.
Remove the Police
Democrats in Congress are quietly pushing a piece of legislation called the Mental Health Justice Act.
If it passes, this legislation will send mental health professionals “in lieu of law enforcement officers” on calls where someone with a mental illness was involved.
The case mentioned above would be a perfect example of that.
Now, generally speaking, I am all for Democrats letting their cities go to pot.
But this is literally sending people to slaughter.
We see cases with the mentally ill going berserk all the time, and now they want to send mental health workers into these situations without any officers on the scene.
How long will it be before one of these people winds up dead?
Democrats could care less because they want to score political points with the far left.
To that point, Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) stated, “We should be connecting people in crisis to care, not tossing them in jail.
“Mental illness is not a crime, and we have to stop treating it like one.
“Most police officers are not trained to care for individuals experiencing mental health crises, which too often tragically leads to unnecessary violence.”
In the case I mentioned above, that is exactly what the officers were trying to do and the individual opened fire on them.
What happens when these healthcare workers walk up and they cannot defend themselves?
This is like leading lambs to slaughter, and every ounce of blood will be on the hands of Democrats like Porter.
