The mainstream media is really losing its patience over Joe Biden and his lack of access.
As far as the White House is concerned, Joe is the most accessible and transparent president of all time.
The media does not see it that way, and is now claiming that Biden is being protected by his staffers.
Really, Joe?
So, Joe has only done a handful of sit-down interviews with journalists since taking office.
I believe he did seven last year and he has, I believe, two this year.
Included in that total are an interview with comedian and late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel and Comedy Central’s Kal Penn, both of whom gushed over Biden when they sat across from him.
Fox News is still waiting.
Biden has had only a handful of formal press conferences, and the media is getting antsy.
A reporter asked KJP, “The second question has to do with the lack of a press conference during the president’s upcoming trip, and the lack of a press conference that we see in general from this White House. I represent a news organization that owns 113 television stations, and a question that I’m often asked, and I don’t know the answer to, so I’ll ask you that question: Is the administration trying to protect the president from our questions? Please –”
“Absolutely not, Absolutely not,” replied KJP.
The reporter continued, “So why the lack of any interaction in a formal setting, to have a press conference?”
Jean-Pierre responded, “I mean, the president takes shouted questions – I understand, John, I understand. I understand. I’ve dealt with this question about three times already.
“I understand that it is … the job of you all to ask this question to me, totally get that.
“And that’s not a problem at all. But, certainly, the president, many times, has stand – has stood in front of all of you, has taken questions on his own, because he wanted to see what was on your minds, he wanted to see what the questions you all were going to ask him. And he wanted to answer them directly.
“That has happened multiple times, many times during this administration. And that will certainly continue to be.
“When it comes to a formal press conference, I don’t have anything to share with you at this time.”
KJP went to say that it was “unprecedented” how many shouted questions that Joe takes from reporters.
It would appear that KJP did not get the message that April Fool’s is over.
