New York Attorney General Letitia James, finally, did not get her way in the courtroom.
James had filed an objection to four Trump expert witnesses.
Judge Engoron actually ruled in Trump’s favor, but he also made a statement that does not bode well for Trump.
No Retrial
James was trying to discredit four Trump witnesses that will counter the expert witnesses for the plaintiff regarding Trump’s alleged fraud.
Since Judge Engoron had issued a partial summary judgment, she claimed their testimony was irrelevant.
Engoron denied the motion, stating, “I don’t want a retrial of this case. I don’t want to be reversed.”
Now, call me crazy, but does that sound like a judge who is even going to consider their testimony in regard to his decision?
That single statement by Engoron is likely to serve the purpose he is hoping to avoid.
If I were Trump’s legal team, I would already be including that report to request a new trial or use that on appeal to show bias on the judge’s behalf.
