J.D. Vance picked the wrong state to take his family on a ski vacation. A mob of howling Vermont liberals were so offensive that Secret Service agents were forced to move the Vice President and his entourage to somewhere safer.
Vance family mobbed
On Saturday, March 1, Vice President J.D. Vance and his family were “moved to an ‘undisclosed location‘ after being met with hundreds of pro-Ukraine protesters.”
They were trying to have a nice quiet vacation “at a ski resort in Vermont.” He should have known better than to book time in such a deep blue state.
When Vance and his family arrived at Sugarbush Resort in Waitsfield they were “met with backlash.” He was expecting a relaxing four-day ski trip but everywhere he turned there were protesters calling him a “national disgrace,” a “traitor” and encouraging his family to “go ski in Russia.”
Liberals simply don’t understand diplomacy, which is how that war got started in the first place.
An ungrateful Volodymyr Zelenskyy thought hesitating to sign the minerals deal he already agreed to sign would give him political leverage to demand security “guarantees.” Apparently Ukrainians aren’t familiar with the old maxim that beggars can’t be choosy.
VP Vance pointed out that his attempt to strong arm President Trump in his own Oval Office was totally out of line. It did not end well for Zelenskyy. He was promptly tossed right out of the White House. Democrats are furious.
A shouting match
Vermont residents are well known for their radical support of progressive ideals. The surprising thing about what happened on Saturday is that there were a large number of Vance supporting Counter-protesters at the resort.
The conflict soon escalated to a “shouting match” between the two rival factions. That’s when the vice president and his family were “forced to flee the resort.”
For obvious reasons, security isn’t revealing where the family was moved to. The protests had been planned “earlier in the week,” after his vacation plans leaked out.
Opposition “intensified after Vance and Trump publicly argued with Zelensky at the Oval Office and scrapped a mineral rights deal.” The state’s Governor, who miraculously is a Republican, “urged protesters” to show a little consideration.
“I hope Vermonters remember the Vice President is here on a family trip with his young children and, while we may not always agree, we should be respectful,” Governor Phil Scott proclaimed in a statement.
“Please join me in welcoming them to Vermont, and hoping they have an opportunity to experience what makes our state, and Vermonters, so special.” The Vance family is never going to forget the welcome they got there.
