Just another sickening example of how non-citizens are put first while Americans are quite literally tossed in the dirt. Many people were left absolutely appalled after learning of the news that Frank Tammaro, a 95-year-old Korean War veteran, was kicked out of his nursing home residence at Island Shores Senior Residence.
He was given less than two months’ notice to find out where he would go – all so an illegal alien could take his room. This news has outraged many members of the Republican party who feel that this situation highlights how our country’s priorities are backwards.

When Frank Tammaro joined Congresswoman Nicole Malliotakis for a press conference, it was about more than just voicing her opinion on New York City’s handling of the migrant crisis. It was also about showing support and solidarity with this elderly veteran in what must have been an incredibly difficult time for him – being told he had to leave his home due to budget constraints in order to make way for someone else.
Tammaro said that Island Shores gave them minimal amount of time to move out, but not enough time to protest or challenge their decision.
New York City Councilman David Carr confirmed that he had been informed by the city’s Department of Social Services that the migrant facility would open soon and Fox News Digital reached out to the Department for confirmation but did not receive a response as yet.
It is important that we do not forget those who have served our country with honor and bravery such as Frank Tammaro, who fought in Korea during one of America’s toughest wars – only for him now face humiliation and disrespect in his old age from those responsible for providing safe care homes such as Island Shores Senior Residence.
The fact that this elderly man may be left homeless due solely because someone else requires his room is disgraceful and unforgivable.
