Trump may have been acquitted, but this ordeal is far from over.
The ink was barely dry on the headlines when Nadler professed to the media that he had every intention of continuing his investigations into Donald Trump to try to remove him from office.
Far from Over
We had all hoped that now that the impeachment had failed, Democrats would finally put this all behind us and move on to the business of governing.
Rep. Nadler (D-N.Y.) has other plans.
Nadler, when asked if he will continue to investigate Trump, stated, “I think it’s likely, yes.”
When he was asked if Pelosi had signed off on this, he stated that he did not know and quite frankly, it seemed as though he did not care.
He further stated, “I think when you have a lawless president, you have to bring that to the fore and you have to spotlight that.
“You have to protect the Constitution, whatever the political consequences.
“As more and more lawlessness comes out, I presume the public will understand that.”
This Will Never Be Over
For at least the next year, Democrats will maintain the power in the House.
As long as they have that power, they plan on using it to find something on Trump that will enable them to remove him from office.
They do not care that they are wasting valuable time and our tax dollars in the process.
They just have rage and they simply cannot let this go.
Rep. Nadler announced recently that he will subpoena John Bolton, a man that has previously been described by Democrats as being dishonest.
This is the man they are now going to hang their hopes on.
Democrats complain and whine about infrastructure, yet they spend every second of their days figuring out new ways to remove Trump from office.
We are doomed to this behavior for the next 10 months, but we can end it all if we manage to take back the House and hold the Senate in November.
Sadly, that is the only way this circus will ever come to a conclusion.
