The Democrat manipulation of how impactful the tax cuts were for Americans is changing the perception for Americans.
Of all publications, the New York Times recently ran a report showing that even though most people have received a tax cut, they don’t think they have.
The Tax Cut
The tax cut put into place by Trump and Republicans was meant to give middle-income America a jolt as well as small business owners.
For the small business owner, they were expected to be able to add jobs and re-invest money into their businesses.
For the average American, the idea was that they would have more spending money and more money to invest in their future and retirement.
By all accounts, this has happened, but many people just don’t see it that way.
Overall, the tax cut benefitted about 65 percent of Americans.
Those that benefitted the least were those making under $30,000, but these individuals are already paying little to no taxes anyway.
For those making $30,000 or more, the percentages rise significantly, but in most cases, less than half of them actually believe they got a tax cut!
Democrat Misinformation Campaign
Democrats, including both leading candidates, have been telling Americans only the top one percent got any benefit, even though it is not true.
Howard Gleckman, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center, stated, “The Democrats did a very good job.
“They were able to put that into the public perception, and the reality has been unable to break that perception.”
Now, I know politicians are habitual liars, but they are using this particular lie to sell a system where Americans will be taxed more and made to believe it will benefit them.
Americans, by and large, are doing far better now than they have been in quite some time.
Yes, there are poor people in this country, but the Dems are not going to be able to wave some magic wand and make it all go away.
Quite frankly, even as things are now, this government needs to dramatically cut back on spending or we are going to fall into a depression, one we may never come out of.
These are dangerous times, patriots, and the worst part about it is that the media is enabling it.
