It seems karma is coming back to bite one RINO who is now facing eviction following his refusal to vote for Ohio Representative Jim Jordan as the new House Speaker. Congressman Ken Buck has been told to vacate his office in Colorado amid his refusal to support Jordan.
This rift between two members of the same party has sparked a heated debate among Republicans about what it means to be loyal and how power should be wielded in Congress.
Buck’s office is located within Pelican Point Business Park LLC, which is owned by Martin Lind, a prominent donor that has given generously to the Republican Party over the years. Lind recently held a fundraiser at his home for then-U.S. Sen Cory Gardner and donated to Herschel Walker’s unsuccessful Georgia U.S. Senate campaign, Joe O’Dea’s unsuccessful Colorado U.S Senate campaign and Barbara Kirkmeyer’s unsuccessful US House campaign as well as Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and PAC associated with the former president.
Despite this history of loyalty towards other Republicans, Lind appears unwilling to show leniency when it comes to Buck’s voting record on this latest issue surrounding house speaker selection; hence why he has served an eviction notice on the representative’s office space in Windsor.
Due to Buck’s recent controversial track record that includes outspokenness against fellow House GOP members – particularly regarding President Joe Biden – there are now several prominent Republicans threatening him with running against him during 2024 election for Colorado 4th Congressional District seat where the electorate is overwhelmingly Republican.
Furthermore, Colorado GOP Chairman Dave Williams issued a statement calling on all House Republicans – including Buck – to unify behind Jim Jordan in order for them to return focus back onto important congressional business that has been neglected since McCarthy was ousted as speaker earlier this month.
Even Joe O’Dea who had also voiced similar opinion tweeted about needing attack grave challenges facing our country rather than inflame tensions which seems unlikely given current climate of division between Republicans concerning their nominee for house speaker.
