Conservative Republican Senator Ron Johnson made a really good point. SCOTUS sits on top of the Judicial Branch food chain. They’re the ones who should set those liberal activist rogue judges straight. He made the announcement at Elon Musk’s town hall in his home state of Wisconsin.
Johnson yanks the reins
Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson has a great idea to rein in over-reaching judges. Sick SCOTUS on them. The theme of the evening was focused on Wisconsin’s state Supreme Court. That had the federal level equivalent front and center on everyone’s mind as well.
Elon Musk made clear that he wants to see Brad Schimel on their highest bench. They’re in the process of electing one to fill a gap and the stakes are high.
Johnson was on hand to show his support for the Republican candidate. While he was there, he used the opportunity to lobby Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts to “rein those judges in” who’ve been throwing their judicial weight around and legislating from the bench.
They’re clearly stepping on the toes of the executive branch and think they can get away with it.
“You’ll notice the activist judges, that the radical leftists, that the super legislators on the courts are issuing national injunctions against what he’s trying to do,” Johnson explained.
We the People put Trump in the oval office for a reason. He’s doing “what we wanted him to do, what the people elected him to do.”

Calling John Roberts
“We can’t let that continue,” Johnson insists. “Now, what should happen is, is John Roberts ought to rein those judges in. He ought to take care of his own branch of government.”
Lately, Republicans have been making a list of “judges making decisions that have slowed the Trump administration’s efforts to advance his agenda.” Santa Claus won’t be bringing James Boasberg cool toys this year.
While everyone started screaming about impeachment, that’s not the best way to go about correcting the problem of rogue judges, Johnson suggests. “Several Republican lawmakers have filed impeachment resolutions against certain judges.”

Trump, too, “has called to impeach at least one district judge, James Boasberg, who issued a nationwide injunction to block his administration from using the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan migrants.”
While popular, the move isn’t real likely to work. “impeachment is seen as a largely futile effort, given the near-zero chance that at least 14 Senate Democrats would join Republicans in convicting and removing any of the judges.”
The better way, Johnson informs, is set the right test cases up with SCOTUS and let them lay down the law clear enough even Democrats can understand it.
