Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has been facing challenge after challenge in her administration.
She chose to go the route of the Biden strategy during her campaign.
She hid among accusations of racism and allowed Trump-backed Kari Lake to dig her own hole.
Now that she is governor, however, she can no longer hide, and her administration just took another big hit.
She’s Done
We always expect to see turnover during an administration, as one party or the other realizes this is just not a good fit.
When Allie Bones resigned, however, that surely was not the case.
Bones has been with Hobbs for quite some time, and she left without notice, so something is clearly up here.
Bones said nothing on the way out the door, and Hobbs tried to keep her comments as clean as possible.
Hobbs stated, “Allie Bones exemplifies the true meaning of a public servant, and I am incredibly grateful for her leadership throughout the transition and this first legislative session of my Administration.
“Her goal was to build a team that could work across the aisle to navigate divided government, and she accomplished that.
“After four and a half years of public service with Gov. Hobbs, Bones will be leaving her position to pursue new opportunities.
“Her departure comes after a historic budget agreement that makes historic investments in critical areas like housing, infrastructure, and education.”
Something is clearly up here, we just need to found what it is.
