Susan Rice Comments Resurface, Landing Her in Deep Sh*t

Susan Rice is standing neck deep in fertilizer after some old comments are coming back to haunt her. A declassified email that Obama’s National Security Adviser sent to herself, the same day Donald Trump was inaugurated into office as President, contradicts an interview she gave three years ago.

Rice made ‘comments’ that were really ‘lies’

In April of 2017, PBS News Hour wanted Susan Rice’s comments on what were brand new allegations at the time. President Trump’s transition team was allegedly spied on before he took charge. “In the last few hours,” anchor Judy Woodruff began, “we’ve been following a disclosure by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes.”

What Nunes had to say was shocking. During the transition, President Trump “and the people around him may have been caught up in surveillance of foreign individuals.” Not only that, “their identities may have been disclosed. Do you know anything about this?”

“I know nothing about this,” Rice lied in her comments. “I was surprised to see reports from Chairman Nunes on that count today.” She tried to spin the story in another direction. Referring to separate allegations that Barack Obama had “wiretapped” Trump during the 2016 election.” She lied about that too. “Nothing of the sort occurred,” She insisted. “No White House can order the surveillance of another American citizen. That can only come from the Justice Department with the approval of a FISA court.” Recently revealed Obamagate facts say otherwise.

The facts contradict Rice’s lies

Susan Rice served as National Security Adviser for Obama. Lieutenant General Michael Flynn filled that same job for Donald Trump. He was her “opposite number” in the new administration. During the transition between the election and the inauguration, Flynn was “caught up in surveillance of foreign individuals,” Specifically Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.” Lie number one for Susan Rice in her comments to PBS. There is now a laundry list of names disclosed of top Obama officials who demanded the “unmasking” of Michael Flynn. His identity was in fact “disclosed.” That was lie number two. Flynn’s name was released to Joe Biden, John Brennan, James Clapper, Samantha Power and Denis McDonough.

She’s right that no president can legally order the wiretapping of an American citizen, as Rice admitted in 2017, the Justice Department can. That was Comey’s job. As long as they can trick the FISA court into going along, which they did using the documents which contained at least 17 serious errors or omissions which seem to be intentional. That’s exactly what happened in the Carter Page case. Rice knew all about all of it.

Barack Obama, Rice insists, and wrote herself an email to be sure and remember, didn’t “order” the wiretapping of Trump. He strongly suggested that if she and Comey wanted to do it then he didn’t want to know a thing about it. Even though it would make him happier than a kid on Christmas if they were doing it. Rice and Comey took the hint.

The smoking email

On Jan. 20, 2017, thirty minutes after she was no longer a government employee, Susan Rice sent herself an email to cover her hind quarters. It documented Barack Obama pre-throwing her under the bus in case anything blew up in their faces, as it is now. It also contradicts the comments she made to PBS.

Two weeks earlier, on January 5, Rice attended a meeting with Obama at the White House. FBI Director James Comey and a bunch of other Obama honchos were there. After the main meeting, Comey and Rice were told to stick around. They talked about Michael Flynn. Obama already knew about the phone call with the ambassador and asked Comey if he should be treating Flynn “any differently.”

Comey said heck yes. Don’t pass along any “sensitive information related to Russia.” That seems to indicate their Steele dossier materials. The last thing they wanted was for Trump to find out all the lies they cooked up. Comey promised Obama he would proceed “by the book.” In other words, he acknowledged that Obama was insisting on plausible deniability. If anything went wrong, he wanted the minions to know for certain that they would hang, not him. Do it by the book, he ordered, knowing there was no “by the book” way to legally overthrow a sitting president.

Of course, Rice is denying any wrongdoing with more comments sticking up for Obama. She released a public statement explaining, “no discussion of law enforcement matters or investigations took place, despite accusations to the contrary.” They didn’t speak it, they just gave each other conspiratorial nod’s and winks so they could deny it all later. Rice continued to act normal with Flynn, without telling him a word about Christopher Steele. “Ambassador Rice did not alter the way she briefed Michael Flynn on Russia as a result of Director Comey’s response.” She wouldn’t have told him about Christopher Steele anyway.
