There was a time when even terrorists would not think about attacking American citizens abroad.
Military targets, CIA, government contractors… all fair game.

The people attacked appear to have been tourists visiting holy sites in Israel.
Aboard this bus were five Americans from Brooklyn, one of them being a pregnant woman.
The bus they were on was parked near the Western Wall, which is considered one of the holiest sites in the Jewish faith.
US ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides stated, “Deeply saddened to confirm that Americans were injured in this attack.
“I’ve spoken with the families and will keep them in my prayers.”
The shooter, a Palestinian resident of Silwan, is now in custody.
Hamas, while not taking credit for the attack, did commend it, stating that it was a “heroic operation” to fight against the “arrogance of the occupation’s soldiers and extremist settlers.”
