A little bit of an add situation has developed over the weekend at a Trump rally.
Just before Trump showed up at Coachella, a man was arrested for having multiple weapons, at least one of them loaded, in his vehicle.
Local police touted it as stopping another assassination attempt against Trump, but the alleged assassin is telling them to pump the brakes.
It’s a Lie
The arrest took place right around 5:00 p.m. near the event site.
Vem Miller, a Las Vegas native, was arrested and taken into custody by local police.
Sheriff Chad Bianco stated, “No matter what, it’s all going to be speculation about what his intentions were getting there.
“If you’re asking me right now, I probably did have deputies that prevented the third assassination attempt.
“The presence that we had at the rally … I am glad we’re not talking about this after we shot [Miller].”
It did not take long for Miller to try to flip the script on the police, saying he was there as a journalist and had no intention of ever doing Trump any harm.
In fact, he says he is and has been a Trump supporter.
Miller explained, “Everything they said about me is untrue, probably. Unfortunately, he appears to have committed career suicide.”
Miller also stated he has already decided to file a suit against the police, adding, “As of right this second, I could prove everything they said is untrue. It’s just going to be bad. … That sheriff is going to lose his job.”
The Secret Service commented, but it does not appear there will be any federal charges filed, which bodes well for Miller.
The agency stated, “The U.S. Secret Service assesses that the incident did not impact protective operations and former President Trump was not in any danger.
“While no federal arrest has been made at this time, the investigation is ongoing.
“The U.S. Attorney’s Office, U.S. Secret Service, and FBI extend their gratitude to the deputies and local partners who helped ensure the safety of last night’s events.”
