This past weekend, the Turning Point Action Conference was held in Florida.
This is Trump territory and this was a big pro-Trump crowd.
The straw poll at the end of the event was very telling, to say the least.
Who Saw This?
The fact that DeSantis polled so poorly is not a surprise, nor is the fact that he did not attend.
Turning Point is, by far, a pro-Trump group, so this would have been like DeSantis showing up at a Trump rally and expecting something good to happen.
That aside, I was stunned at the second choice by attendees.
First, let’s get to Trump celebrating the results.
On Truth Social, he posted, “Just heard that I (WE!) won the big Turning Point Straw Poll in a BLOWOUT, getting 85.7% of the Vote.
“Ron DeSanctimonious came in a solid 3rd with 4.3%, Vivek got 2%, and Sloppy Chris Christie, as usual, got a big, fat, ZERO!
“Turning Point put on a GREAT event in West Palm Beach, setting all kinds of records, including in attendance.”
So who was the number two, and we have to assume preferred VP candidate of this group?
Well, that would be entrepreneur and pharma pig Vivek Ramaswamy, who took down 51 percent of the second choice votes.
A few months ago, nobody knew who this guy was, now they want him as VP?
Charlie Kirk explained, “There are a lot of people here who have a lot of respect for the governor and what he’s done in Florida, but I was approached multiple times by attendees telling me they were disappointed he didn’t come, and that’s evident in the poll results. … Vivek showed up and gave a great speech, and he was the clear second-choice favorite among our people.”
I don’t care what that poll says, there is simply no way I would ever support Vivek on that ticket.
This dude is a grifter and the sooner people realize that, the better.
