Say what you want about Trump, but the man does not seem to have very much fear in his bones.
In July, Trump was shot, one of his supporters was killed, and several other people were injured in Butler, PA.
Trump plans to return to the scene of the crime, so to speak, holding a rally in Butler, PA, in October.
Can’t Keep Him Down
Donald Trump was adamant from the outset that he would not allow that shooting to keep him away from Butler.
After the first shooting, Trump told everyone he could be coming back, posting, “I WILL BE GOING BACK TO BUTLER, PENNSYLVANIA, FOR A BIG AND BEAUTIFUL RALLY, HONORING THE SOUL OF OUR BELOVED FIREFIGHTING HERO, COREY, AND THOSE BRAVE PATRIOTS INJURED TWO WEEKS AGO. WHAT A DAY IT WILL BE — FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! STAY TUNED FOR DETAILS.”
While it has not yet been confirmed, insiders say the date that Trump will return will be October 5, but they have not yet stated if Trump will be doing an outside or insider rally.
I know the Secret Service prefers him to be inside since the assassination attempts, but we all know Trump has a flare for the dramatic.
In addition, Congress has just passed legislation to give Trump the same level of protection given to Biden.
When Trump does return, there will be a lot of eyes on his protection detail because the Secret Service has been taking its lumps.
Over the last three months, there have been two security breakdowns on Trump’s detail, one resulting in shots being fired, the other with a shooter setting up shop outside of Trump’s golf course for 12 hours.
Then there was the incident in which the Secret Service broke into a local business to use the bathroom, disabled the surveillance camera, and left the business doors open after they left.
And this week, there was a report of an agent sexually harassing someone.
Honestly, I am surprised heads have not rolled, but Biden never seems to fire anyone.
