Last week, Donald Trump absolutely shredded Joe Biden for having freed up $6 billion for Iran that had been frozen in a South Korean bank.
The Biden administration has held firm that the money would only be used for humanitarian aid.
That, however, has changed rather dramatically in recent days.
The Quiet Deal
Biden had already received a letter from a group of GOP Senators calling on Biden to freeze that money.
Several Democrats also stated that they had wanted to see the money frozen.
There is even legislation working its way through Congress right now to lock it up.
Then Donald Trump chimed in.
He posted on Truth Social, “CROOKED JOE BIDEN MUST TAKE BACK AND FREEZE THE 6 BILLION DOLLARS RIGHT NOW, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE.
“HOW COULD ANYONE BE SO INCOMPETENT AND STUPID? BIDEN CAUSED THIS WAR, AND IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE!!!”
Fox News then reported, “A source present in the room told Fox News Digital that Adeyemo told congressional Democrats in that meeting that the U.S. has reached ‘quiet understanding’ with Qatar not to move the $6 billion in funding.”
Biden will never admit this publicly because it would mean saying that everyone was right in suspecting that Iran could get its hands on the money and use it for something other than humanitarian aid.
If that were not true, then why freeze the money?
